Where, When and How to Find Us

Ripple River Gallery and Ripple River Woodturning Studio are located about 120 miles (two hours) north of Minneapolis/St. Paul and about 95 miles south of Duluth, Minnesota. We’re slightly off the beaten track near Bay Lake in the heart of Minnesota’s lake country, but well-maintained, paved roads and good signage make us easy to find. Watch for the blue highway signs!

If you can find your way to Deerwood or Aitkin, Minnesota, the following directions will come in handy:

From Deerwood: 5 miles south on Hwy. 6 to Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge, then 3 miles east on County Road 14 to Partridge Avenue, then 1/4 mile north to Ripple River Gallery.

From Aitkin: south on Hwy. 169 to County Road 11 (Tame Fish Road) at Bennettville, then 3 miles west to Partridge Avenue, then 1/4 mile north to Ripple River Gallery.

We are open all year…10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sundays, March through December.

Hours in January, February and March will vary, so e-mail ahead!

We are also open by chance or by appointment any time.
